WELCOME WEEK
WHAT TO EXPECT
Welcome Week will offer you a week of events that will set the foundation to the ultimate Loughborough Experience. It also gives you the chance to get involved in the different sections within Loughborough Students' Union, whether it may be Action, Rag or Welfare and Diversity. Furthermore, we offer the chance to explore the social opportunities available, which include activities during the day and night, in and around Loughborough.

The countdown to Freshers begins now!
ARRIVAL (MOVE IN) DAY
When you arrive, the Committee, Fresher Helpers and Subwardens will be there to help you.
You'll need to show a form of ID in order to obtain your Student ID and the keys to your new room. After this, the Fresher Helpers will help you take your stuff to your block with help of trolleys and buggys. You'll then be free to go to the Dining Hall where the Committee will introduce themselves and you can find out more about life at Royce. After this you're free to go unpack and get to know your new flatmates!

WELCOME HELPERS
Welcome Helpers are people who have lived in or affiliated with Royce in the past, and have voluntarily come back to help you guys settle in and have the best Welcome Week possible!
Your block will be assigned one Welcome Helper and two Committee members who you can ask any questions you might have, whether it's what events are going on that night, or how to collect your post. Don't be shy - they know just what it's like to be a Fresher, so feel free to add message them with any queries you might have. You never know, you might just become one next year too...
HALL THEME
Each hall competes to have the best theme for their freshers.
Your t-shirts and events are based around this. The big reveal of our theme this year will be on the 1st September... It's definitely not one to miss!
During the Week
In the day...
There'll be activities going on in Royce each day to help you get to know everyone in the hall, as well as events like the Freshers Fair taking place in other parts of the University.
And at night...
We will be trying out best to make it as fun as possible whilst following all goverment guidelines and recommendations from the Union

And don't worry there'll also be sober activities going on in the evenings so you can still get to know people!
